This global initiative aims to bolster national capacities in basic sciences and science education, celebrating quantum science’s century-long impact on technology, culture, and our understanding of the natural world. Key figures like Thierry Breton and Yasser Omar highlighted Europe’s leading role in quantum advancements and the potential of quantum technologies to foster a sustainable and equitable world. The IYQ will feature educational and research activities, showcasing significant projects from Europe’s Quantum Flagship initiative.
